I have yet to have a discussion with anyone using Objective data and statistics that has not led down the road to why Trump is a horrible person. Today I had a long discussion with a school principal/former math teacher simply to discuss cdc data As I thought it would be based off expertise and statistics only, both areas we focus on in our career. Not one counter to actual data, but rather speculation:
“I can see us getting to 650,000 deaths by end of the year.”
To...
“Our country has no moral compass electing Trump.”
To...
“I’d rather have my kids go to gender neutral bathrooms than go to school with another Brock Turner who voted for Trump.”
Important to note, not at any point in this discussion involving data did I point out anything political, but the goal posts just kept moving as they have with every conversation with anyone anti-Trump for the entire pandemic.
It is frustrating to not be able to have objective conversations.
