BREAKING NEWS: FEDERAL JUDGE’S HOME ATTACKED; SON KILLED, HUSBAND CRITICAL AFTER BEING AMBUSHED BY MAN DRESSED AS FEDEX DRIVER IN NEW JERSEY
by Kevin Ryan

The husband and son of a federal judge in Newark, New Jersey, have been shot in an ambush at their home.

A man dressed as a FedEx driver arrived at the family home of Judge Esther Salas in North Brunswick, NJ at about 5 p.m. Sunday. The judge’s son, Daniel, opened the door and was immediately shot and killed, sources said.

“He was shot through the heart,” Francis Womack, the mayor of North Brunswick, New Jersey, said. Daniel was a freshman at Catholic University.

Salas’ husband Mark was shot multiple times, and is in critical condition.

Esther Salas is a judge of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. She has presided over several high profile cases, including public corruption cases. She is the first Latina to serve on the federal bench in New Jersey. She was reportedly in the basement of the home at the time and was not injured.

Just four days ago, Judge Salas was assigned to a case that has links to Jeffrey Epstein.

According to Bloomberg, Deutsche Bank AG is being accused of misleading investors 'about anti-money-laundering deficiencies,' including failing to properly monitor high-risk customers, including Jeffrey Epstein. However authorities have not yet suggested the shootings are linked to any of the judge's cases.

“As a judge, she had threats from time to time, but everyone is saying that recently there had not been any,” said Mayor Womack, who is personal friends with the judge and her husband.

The investigation is being led by the FBI. The U.S. Marshals have been called to provide the judge with a security detail. Authorities are investigating whether there is any connection between those prior threats and the shooting, or whether it possibly involved the husband’s work as a criminal defense attorney.

Developing story…
