fire 2 rounds, and reholster. It was an FBI drill.
They stopped training with it when officers, resorting to training in stressful situations, would reholster and get their asses kicked, shot, and/or disarmed.
So dumping 5 rounds on a guy is no big deal. You don't know where the rounds are hitting for the most part.
This shooting, they guy was still charging after being shot 5 or 6 times. Officer has a misfeed where the gun goes out of battery from the suspect grabbing for it and keeping the slide from working properly. She miraculously does a tap, rack & fire to get back on target and shoots him a few more times, even as he's finally going down.
