How does anyone take anything the health officials say now?

As a group they were either totally silent or actually endorsed the protest and subsequent riots. The very same people who told us we had to lock down for three months while the economy crumbled and millions lost their jobs.
Can anyone identify a 'leader' who has recently issued a mask order that was not out among the protestors just a few weeks back, very often without masks and never social distancing.
