aside their rights, it's amazing how quickly scientists and doctors have cast aside decades of studies on pandemic response and gone with a completely novel approach (quarantining healthy people, mandating masks outside of hospitals, irregular social distancing, etc.). Just bizarre.

There are some public health experts who have diametrically opposed opinions on handling pandemics from even a few years ago. It used to be the goal to disrupt social order as little as possible. Can they ever go back to that?
