surgery, no pain, and back to golfing and basketball within 8 months with a brace. And I was just a working stiff, not a D1 athlete with time and the resources. The 2-year thing is way outdated. Now I can't say for certain he won't have a psychological issue with hurting it again, but I don't imagine he'll ever take a snap without a brace. Mine (and his) was custom-fit and once I got used to it, reinjuring the knee was never in my mind.
