feckless R lawmakers will see and seize an opportunity.
They will after holding their finger in the air to determine exactly which way the wind is blowing, jump on the bandwagon and suggest that possibly the total eradication of police everywhere in the country is just a bit extreme.
They will say this in tearful speeches in congress as they sympathize, empathize and lament the plight of oppressed colored people in this country. Some vestige of police are needed to protect the poor colored people who are the constant target of racist white cops.
They will as Rs generally do, offer a compromise, which typically falls just short or total supine capitulation.
Something like, "Police forces should be reduced to 43% of their current size and funding. All police forces will be under the supervision or an african american chief of police and all african american captains and officers. Foot patrol and desk jobs may be handled by white people but all supervisory positions must be held by african americans. Women must make up 50% of the police force and transexuals must make up 21%.
"In addition, we will re categorize what are now crimes to being violations of civil ordinances. Things like drug use and sales, property damage, assault that does not result in death, vandalism or theft of less than $5,000 will be punishable for white criminals by heavy fines and lengthy probation. There will of course be no punishment for african americans who merely violate civil ordinances.
"This policy when coupled with the NO BAIL policy of our newly implemented improvements to our criminal justice system will ensure that crime statistics plummet and equal justice and safety for all americans will be in effect."
Republicans will congratulate for bringing the country together and damn trump for not doing it sooner.
And this newly installed policy will be the starting point for the next series of demands made by the left.
