It's the opposite for kansas IMO. This is a fully independent committee. For kU, which has always been treated very well by the NCAA, this can't be a good thing. The NCAA always protected their golden goose. Going to an independent committee should limit that protection. Plus once the IARC makes it's decision, there is no appeal.
Right now the only reason for any hope for kU fans is that this is a completely new committee so it's not 100% known what the process is going to look like. But given the huge amount of evidence against kU and Self, I don't see how they don't hammer them if they are truly an independent committee.
