That generation drank like fish and generally smoked like chimneys. I think maybe the incidence of substance abuse is probably the same as now but drugs were more confined to certain parts of society whereas alcohol was accepted. Also, people who were born in the depression era didn’t deal with social issues, they just moved on like the problems didnt happen.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
