Texas has a weird electricity system

They give you a million choices to pick from and then they (hopefully) contact the actual energy company to turn your power on. I say hopefully because im sitting in my sons sweltering house and 6 hours and 3 phone calls later they just informed us the prior renters didnt pay their bill. So we have to send them a copy of his rental contract and ID i guess to prove he is not them. They originally said 10 minutes. Would have been nice to know in the first place.
