When he was running on who he was (Obama's VP) he was in fifth place. When Bernie praised Castro repeatedly and the dems realized he had to be stopped, they convinced the others to drop out and they rallied around Joe. Not because of anything Biden did. It was a panic move to stop Bernie.

Now Biden is back to being what he was - 5th place in the dem field. And that is a big problem for the dems.
