The R or D after their names are the ones deciding which pool of candidates the voting public gets to choose from. More voters won't change that and won't change the pool of candidates. The system is broken and it's not due to lack of voters. It's due to the political donations and campaign parties that are beholden to those donors and lobbyists at the most basic level. The system is broken far beyond that, but that's the initial hurdle that needs to be cleared before any other real change will happen within our government.
