Back when Quin was still doing well at MU and poised to take an ever greater step, he was extremely close to landing Luol Teng, who later became the #7 pick in the NBA draft. You would think that Coach K, given all the praise he gave Quin and how he always went on and on how successful Quin would be, would not stoop to stealing a recruit from him. But after Quin had already been recruiting Deng for a long time, Coach K stepped in and stole him away (maybe with some extra $$?). That told me the man was one of the individuals who says one thing but does another. Alll of it aimed at building his own legend.
