A better question might be

How many people went into a black neighborhood and spent time there with the friends at their house..and experienced what that was like there.

I have only done it a couple of times....and it is completely different.

Your statement below said a lot about his culture..the first time he had actually eaten a meal until he was full...or however you put it.
