that stat, by itself, means almost nothing. Think maybe the whites in general went to better schools? Got better grades? Had better resumes for that co.? No, you never thought a damn bit about any of that. And do you think just maybe the fact you weren't able to evaluate the whole process and consider all the facts is one of the reasons that blacks are not called back as much. I know. You would never accept that.
Hey, here's another possible reason for that meaningless 50% stat: Their hiring quota for minorities has already been met, so now they can look at someone else.
