made that Chauvin didn't actually cause the death.
1. reports from 911 caller that Floyd wasn't acting right and that he was under the influence of something
2. reports from first two officers that Floyd was in medical distress
3. reports from first two officers that Floyd said he couldn't breath (long before Chauvin had contact with him)
4. report and video that shows Floyd collapsing on his own as they try to put him in the patrol vehicle
5. the fact that the ME's report indicates that Floyd was under the influence of something
6. the fact that there was according to the ME no evidence of traumatic asphyxiation or strangulation
7. the fact that Floyd had a heart attack.
btw, I'm not saying that the officer isn't responsible but I am saying there is an argument to be made by the defense, a small opening, that while Chauvin assaulted Floyd and used excessive force he didn't kill him.
tough call on which way to go but maybe you're right and you just have to convince 1 of 12.
