We know pretty darned sure from all reporting - from the KC Plaza to NYC et al that there are outliers who meld into the crowd to antagonize police and incite violent responses. That is widely reported.
Instances of looting follow the same pattern. Reports of stacks of bricks appearing out of the blue near protest sites. THAT was specifically reported at the Plaza. I have seen cases of looting throughout my life. Looters typically take everything they can carry. In the cases over the last weak, the initial looters, break in, grad one thing and run. Why would they do THAT if theft was their primary objective.
Now - qui bene ? WHO BENEFITS from all this behaviour? You don't ALWAYS have to take a counter position. Use your head.
