Well that was easy.

In a single news cycle, we went from burning down the nation from sea to shining sea with no end in sight to a few uneventful protests entirely defanged of the criminal element.
And now we're one more news cycle from the entire thing being over forever.
What happened?
Did the will to end police brutality forever simply burn out?
No.
In a stroke of brilliant leadership, one man crystallized the body of evidence building in front of us - whether it was a CNN announcer blathering about 'mostly peaceful protests' while fires raged out of control behind him or numerous livestreaming YouTubers showing smashed windows and assault after assault, it was obvious that a violent criminal element was fully active in these 'protests'.
Enter Donald J. Trump. His declaration of ANTIFA as a terrorist organization was unprecedented and certainly nothing a Republican president would ever do - improper and unnecessary even according to rightwinging luminary Andrew McCarthy. But with a single finger-point the nation on both sides of the aisle agreed: ANTIFA IS OUT OF CONTROL.
And then BOOM, immediately anyone doing crime during a protest, regardless of who they really were or what they really stood for, became an ANTIFA TERRORIST.
It's one thing to be a thug rioter and looter with your 'street cred' on full display - but getting tagged as a TERRORIST, much less a member of the universally hated ANTIFA was too much.
And that did it. The protests are over. Those who would harm America have been isolated and universally shunned by both sides. The overt wishes of the right have been granted. The covert voyeurism of the left has been quelled.
It's over officially and for certain.
Thanks to the remarkable and astonishingly effective leadership of an incredible president who just united the United States of America practically against it's will! The group psychology of the mob was turned in on itself and a highly dangerous national condition went into full remission.
And this with no military deployed. No Democrat governor overridden. No police or sheriff usurped. It was as if 325 million souls suddenly cried out ENOUGH!
And ANTIFA, who prefer to do their work masked and in the dark, with the smoke of uncertainty shrouding every aspect of the organization, experienced the blast of a brilliant white spotlight from mainstream America itself. As expected, they scurried away like cockroaches.
It's a breathtaking example of leadership in an era where we expect nothing (or worse) from our presidents.
And most Americans, right up to this very minute, still don't realize what just happened.
