Robert Johnson, the founder of BET, floated a proposal that the country pay 14 trillion to Black Americans as reparations for slavery. My rough calculations suggest that would be about 350k per Black American.
In watching the interview it occurred to me that someone should inquire if that payment is reparations (damages) for all the injustices suffered by Black Americans, I.e. makes Blacks whole for all the injustices they have suffered, if that one-time payment would mean that affirmative action, etc programs, all race based government assistance programs could then be eliminated going forward.
