And when one has given up there is little that can hurt him. McConnell got his courts. Really THAT is what mattered. We lost. The good, kind, decent and generous people of America lost. Sad. But it is what happened. Slowly, painfully we will begin a long re-build to decency to world leadership, to grace. The barriers that McConnell has put in place in the courts may prove very difficult to overcome. I trust the nation, in due time, will do so. I won't be around to see that, but others will.
