I believe Rico is the Federal statute, under which asset forfeiture occurs in criminal cases. The News Press article is lacking in details, nothing is implied regarding participation of the cali property owners. There is literally no value in the confiscated drugs. I doubt the Mexican criminal had any assets in his own name. Supporters of legalized marijuana should applaud this case. Aren't you in favor of legal dope? This was an illegal dope growing operation.
