IMHO that’s a case of perception becoming reality for some

I have been consistant in this point. The reality discounting the 1st recruiting class, which everyone seems to want to do, CM has recruited similarly to the way he always has. You mention going after 5* recruits but all I can remember him going after is 2 and 1 of them became a 5* after his recruiting process had been under way for over a year. The other was basically like family. I have said I think most of the response to 2020 recruiting is an overreaction. He has actually done exactly what you say in going after that range between 75-150 (Watson, Jackson, McKinney to a lessr degree), which is about in line with what he did prior to coming here. The issue there has mixed performance results or transfer. As to those they are going after below 150, over the years he has done well identifying undervalued recruits like that. Check out some of these names in that range from his now 9 year P6 career and how they performed:
Phil Cofer
Josh Richardson
Armani Moore
A.J. Davis
Tariq Owens
Justice Sueing
Xavier Pinson
Kobe Brown
I have also been consistent in the following point also. The issue presently is retaining players and getting them to develop better. Let's see how these next couple classes along with what's on the roster now work out moving forward
