the Triumph Foods pork processing plant. When an outbreak of China virus within their migrant workforce was observed, the firm arranged to have thousands of workers tested. Last report I read indicated over 500 tested positive. Reportedly, many foreign workers are bussed in daily from nearby Leavenworth and Atchison Counties in Kansas. Also reported was the fact workers admitted to suffering symptoms, but had refused to tell supervisors for fear of being sent home from work. Also reported was the fact that these foreign laborers live in crowded conditions, sometimes up to 20 or 30 people to a single family dwelling. Triumph had to call in interpreters to question it's workforce, which is composed primarily of Mexican nationals.
