1. The disease is highly contagious.
2 The disease is often completely asymptomatic, such that none of us can know that we're not carrying it at any point in time, unless we very recently tested negative. Conversely, the disease is often debilitating or even deadly.
3. The disease is ubiquitous, with multi-million diagnosed cases in a matter of three months, and some multiple of that undiagnosed.
4. Therefore, there is a reasonable possibility that any of us, including you or me or Astro, could be carrying the disease at any point in time.
5. If we are carrying it, the likelihood of transmitting it to another person, thereby potentially contributing to their sickness, misery, or death, is substantially decreased if we wear a mask.
6. Anyone who is unwilling to make the tiny personal sacrifice of wearing a mask in order to meaningfully mitigate the risk of contributing to the sickness, misery or death of another is a d*ck.
