time airport amenities matter is when you are stuck in one for a layover. If you are starting or ending a trip the only amenity that matters is accessibility. KCI was one of the easiest airports to get into and out of in the nation. That will all change so they can add shops and restaurants no one will use.

The reason KCI became a dump was that the city stopped maintenance when the people refused to vote to replace it.
