When you look at those graphs the area under the curve is the number of infected, a certain percentage of which will die from the illness.
Flattening the curve did not mean we were simply going to lop of the top 20% and avoid those illnesses and deaths. Flattening the curve was about reshaping the curve to eliminate the spikes. When we flattened the curve we reduced the height of the curve but in doing so we widened the curve. It was a trade off by choice, we knew this and accepted it because it was the lesser of two evils.
I’m sorry you and your tribe were not intelligent enough to processes this. Short of a vaccine we will not defeat this virus. Hiding from it is not an option. At some point we have to simply accept the risk, protect the most vulnerable and get back to life.
