Funny story about that game

I was in college at the time. and one of my good friends who I still stay in touch with was from Omaha and the biggest Nebraska fan ever. Needless to say that 1983 season was a dream few months for him - and he had no trouble letting everyone know that.
When winter break came, he headed home and I am sure was anticipating celebrating a National Championship on New Years night. We all know how that turned out.
He and I both worked at the college radio station. Over winter break, several students found every article they could on that Orange Bowl game and plastered them all over the station, and I mean all over (remember this was pre-internet). He came walking in and saw those articles, and you could have fried an egg on the back of his neck.
