She played in 29 games as a freshman at Kentucky, only batted 0.259 but presumably she'll get better. She was a good hitter in high school. Article said she grew up on a farm and played on a USA national team when she was 16, both parents were catchers and her high school coach was a cather, so she should be well trained.
