The ‘flu’ that was going around in January and February was a rough one that was sidelining people for a week or more. I knew multiple HS BB coaches who missed a week of their seasons to it. These guys would usually slap a band-aid on if they cut off a finger and be at practice but they missed entire weeks of the season. When kids had the flu it was not a one or two day absence many missed a week or more.
I think we are going to find that this hit earlier than we thought but it was mostly in populations that were young and healthy and just thought it was the flu.
