she's self-employed. We still have to pay rent on a business property that is shut down due to the city and state government public health orders. so not only do we get ZERO income we are still paying rent on the building.

i'd say that's a pretty significant answer to your question.

she's also not eligible for traditional unemployment. oh, the feds passed a provision to make self-employed, contractors, etc eligible but the states have no idea how to run it and it's not implemented yet in most states.

We are ok b/c I'm working but there are a ton of people, like single hairstylists who are self-employed for example, that are ****ed.
