Mike Alden, associate athletic director Gene McArtor and Chancellor Wallace drive to Kansas City to meet with Quin Snyder at the Airport Hilton. The group conducts second interview with Bill Self, who wears a toupee to the interview. By noon, news leaks that Snyder will be introduced at an afternoon press conference. Missouri officials deny any deal has been completed. Alden, McArtor, Wallace and Snyder make the drive from Kansas City to Columbia as MU officials set up a press conference scheduled for at 10:30 a.m. Alden informs screening committee of Snyder’s choice as coach.
