school records at Hickman in shot put and discus in his first HS track meet as a sophomore.

Won the 100 yard dash, shot-put, and discus at conference track meet. Still holds the 4th best discus throw record in the state----44 years ago.

His senior year, his first day of basketball practice right after FB ended, he dribbled in fairly slowly on his first layup. Jumped up and dunked it.....no problem. The guy was 6'0'' tops and weighed about 210!

Saw him walk the length of the basktball floor on his hands.
