We haven't filled our covid beds yet to my knowledge but it's affecting our ability to do everything else. Radiology brings these patient's to my CT every night because it puts the room out of commission for an hour or more just for cleaning after the patient...we only have 4 CT's in the hospital and one of them requires over an hour of air refresh time before cleaning (they tesed all the rooms). They have to leave the room empty for so much time for the air to turn over before even letting the cleaning crew in.
What our country should be doing is dedicating 'covid' only hospitals- in Columbia dedicating one of the existing hospitals and moving all of those patients elsewhere. When someone tests positive they go there.
