is that if shutdown works... people will point to how overblown it was because "hey, the numbers dropped dramatically"

I think it's smart seeing that even though elderly are higher risk, we have a dead infant, dead 20 / 30 / 40 year olds and a pretty obese population.

Even Fauci said this weekend it could be up to 100k deaths AS IT STANDS with shutdowns and social distancing. Imagine if we didn't do it.

It is absolutely going to last longer than anyone ever would want it to, and will essentially collapse economies and even solid businesses. Good opportunity for someone to reset, focus on priorities, minimize, and think about what they WANT to do the rest of their life. Consider taking up a new hobby, do puzzles with kids, play board games again, etc.
