that night. I do remember encores(plural), but it had been a llloooonnngg night, lol. Awesome show. The Only show that was better for me was about 82-3 when SRV was touring with his brothers band at the old Memorial Hall. Was sitting right on top of them. The Thunderbirds were the band that had radio and Mtv hits at the time, but wasn't NO way they were following Stevie, so THEY opened. SRV wasn't known to most people who didn't play guitar or live in Austin then, but EVERYONE at Memorial Hall knew who the cat was after that night ended. As the encore, Stevie and Jimmie came out and played an amazing trick where Stevie was sitting, Jimmie standing behind him, and they alternated playing each others fretboards and picking simultaneously. Then switching back and forth on DIFFERENT guitar harmonies. AMAZING shyte.
