the numbers aren't dropping, so they aren't getting to that herd immunity point yet and they're overwhelming the hospital systems and people are dying because of it... not just the CV patients, but likely others who are being released early due to lack of bed, or who aren't getting the best medical care because they are so overwhelmed.
Doctors & nurses are also getting sick, which makes a bad situation worse.
