and Fort Myers). In addition to bald eagles, we have tons of osprey. I was at the Venice, FL fishing pier recently and an osprey was perched atop the weather vane at the end of the pier. Some guy caught a bait fish, threw it on the deck of the pier and the osprey proceeded to swoop down, grab the fish and fly away. Pretty cool sight.

A lot of wildlife around here, from bobcats and gators to sand hill cranes and fish crows that have this call that sounds like it's saying "uh huh." Haven't seen any poisonous snakes yet, not that I care to do so.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
