"getting screwed over". Largest share of Bernie's base are young folks who don't show up at the polls. If you want you guy to win - if you think you got the Revolution cooking - show up and vote. This is not difficult. While the Hillary Camp and Wasserman-Schultz did screw Bernie over four years ago, that is simply not happening now.
There are more Democrats than Republicans. Add in the independent vote and there are way more. Trump has 35% base. That won't win an election when the opposing side shows up - as it failed to do in '16.
Meanwhile 7.5 months out from the election, Don Trump called an event that is disrupting the lives of Americans coast-to-coast a hoax. He said it at a rally ON TAPE. His petty dismantling of govt institutions and agencies cost this nation - in addition to his refusal to take seriously an event b/c it might make him look bad - valuable time. Frankly it will be clear he does not merit consideration for a second term.
