He is reassuring and comforting the people. If he were not doing that, the panic would be worse.
No one was stupid enough to tell churchill to “get out of the way” during the blitz.
No one told reagan to “get out of the way” after the challenger blew up.
People need to hear from their leaders.

You don’t like him, that is your prerogative. But don’t tell the president to “get out of the way” when he tells the country what’s going on.
