People who always say "we elected a black president" forget multiple things.

1. The country was in such a bad position, they were looking for something new. Because more of the same clearly wasn't working.

2. Ignore the political prowess of Obama. Obama was an elite politician skillwise: up there with Clinton, Reagan, and Nixon. Let's not dismiss that fact...

If more diverse states were earlier, this race would be much different..
