In this case, I think they took it a big step further than that. They were calling it the Wuhan virus and the Chinese virus themselves, then changed course a couple of times, now settling on Covid-19, but have heavily criticized Trump for calling it the Wuhan virus now, saying that he's xenophobic and so on.

That is crossing the line in my opinion.
