The simple point which is being made, is that you are to put no other gods before Him. This is about idolatry . Your concern with politics is idolatry for example. I have no problem admitting that I have idolatry which is sinful. But then again, I’m a serious practicing Christian. You’re entitled to whatever believes you hold.
