with the information at hand, they would likely have done the same thing....and then the Republicans would have had their issues with it, especially in a more politicized world we are in today.

It is showing even now..

Interestingly, in 2001, it was a very different tone...and one more of cooperation vs fighting (of courser there was still plenty of fighting there, but more on the fringes vs mainstream that we see now).
