government. The problem is that the federal government has gotten itself so entrenched in areas where they should not be that they cannot respond effectively in times of true crisis where there is a necessary role for them. And this is not a left problem or a right problem. Both have great fault. But when we have issues like today, when there are challenges that are global and of a scale where it makes sense for the federal government to play a role, they are hamstrung beyond all comprehension.
