It seems plain to me that JB was merely tolerated by obama. I don't think there was any real affection there and certainly no respect. Obama is exponentially smarter, cooler, and more politically savvy than JB could dream of being.
JB was elevated to a position for which he was unworthy and unqualified.
And like most affirmative action job holders, he thinks he earned it and did a great job.
