It, nothing is going to cause the end of Trump. He is almost certainly going to remain in office until he dies at some point. No matter how badly or inappropriately he handles something it is not going to fall on him, because the people who enable him don’t care about that. Our government is ruined, it doesn’t function anymore. He will preside over that ruined government until he dies.
Normal people will think his handling is a disaster. Like every other aspect and action he undertakes. But that doesn’t matter
