It's the only thing he wants, and he's just too stupid to realize it will never happen.

So, to make him feel better about his delusions, he lectures all of us, demands we join his useless philosophy.

Why? because it's better than facing the reality that he's just a useless criminal scumbag, that brings society and his family down, instead of helping them accomplish more.

In a society with almost everything, he only wants nothing. and he's angry that no one wants to join him.
