For getting better next season that's a little hard to see right now since MU is going to be losing Bedell to the draft and maybe Ash too. Need to bring in some really good pitching next season.
Also frustrated with Bieser at times (still can't get over that they only had to beat FL once to make the tourney and did not get it done), but what about the athletic department? They did not give Jamieson many resources, and not much with Bieser either. MU of course already has a recruiting disadvantage with the weather, but the facilities/resources are really lacking compared to other SEC school, so the AD needs to step up to help Bieser get higher rated recruits to come here. Yes with the lack of attendance, it's hard to see the AD wanting to shell out the big bucks. Sort of a catch 22.
So to the point below with a diff. choice to coaches (Vitello or someone else). Hypothetical question, but would a diff. coach do better than Bieser even though the AD does not invest much in baseball here??? Also Tenn. is doing field/stadium renovations. I'm also interested in the ? about Vitello, if MU did not want to pay that much for a coach or if it was for a diff. reason. Before the contract extension, Bieser was making about 300,000 per/yr. Before his recent contract extension, Vitello was getting about 500,000 per/yr. at Tenn.
