The Athletic is worth the subscription IMO

A lot of sites aren’t. They either cover the same stuff you can find for free elsewhere or end up sharing all or most of their content for free at some point. The Athletic, however, tends to produce a different kind of content that isn’t necessarily just a rehash of what everyone else has.
They do have a lot of young/inexperienced writers covering various beats (including at least four recent Mizzou grads), but the overall quality is quite good.
