In 2018, the DLB administration fired the government’s entire pandemic response chain of command, including the White House management infrastructure. They have not been replaced.
Consequently, currently the United States has no clear chain of command for pandemic response. The White House has not added any clarity, leaving the public, and the government itself, largely in the dark
